Product Post: Rubbermaid FreshWorks

I don’t know how many of you have this problem but buying produce sometimes means having to buy some stuff that comes in larger quantities meant for waaayyy more than two people!! Either it’s too much or it’s something I only use/need a little of and don’t know what to do with the rest of.

Take parsley for example, I don’t use this ingredient much except for falafel and sometimes Italian food, and they only sell it in a huge bunch. Trying to make it last until I feel like using it again usually doesn’t it work and I almost always end up throwing it away. This isn’t the story with just parsley. Ever since I turned into an adult and had to start buying my own groceries, it seems like the fruits and veggies go bad a lot more quickly! 😩 Anyone else or just me? πŸ™‹πŸ½‍♀️

Anyway, there is finally a product to fix just that! It’s Rubbermaid FreshWorks Produce Savers. Now, I will admit they are pricey but I only have three, which is more than enough and I feel that it’s ok for the extra little splurge since I know it’ll be saving me some more time with my produce instead of it going in the garbage! I purchased mine via Amazon. The Rubbermaid company website seems more expensive and they’re sold out on the two sizes I purchased on Amazon. I have two of 4-cup & one of 8.4-cup rectangle. I’ve linked them, just click on either size.

The website states:
  • Keeps produce fresher longer versus store packaging
  • FreshVent technology regulates flow of oxygen and carbon dioxide for the ideal produce environment
  • CrispTray helps keep moisture away from produce to reduce spoilage
  • Lid filter lasts a lifetime
  • Top shelf dishwasher safe, BPA-free
Here is a picture of my parsley after TWO weeks!! Wrapping it in the paper towels helps too since it absorbs any excess moisture. I don’t know about you guys but my produce usually only lasts about a week. If yours are lasting longer then please help a girl out!
